The Art of
Making

“A piece of jewellery is made perhaps twice in a century by the hands that make it best. We employ those hands, give them the time they require, and get out of the way.”

The Disciplines

Skills of the Atelier

Stone Setting

The most critical step: placing each stone so that it is secure, level, and positioned to maximise its interaction with light. Our stone setters work under 10× magnification and complete fewer than three pieces per week.

Pavé & Micro-Pavé

Our pavé specialists hand-place stones as small as 0.8mm in diameter, raising and forming each individual bead by hand. A single ReAurra pavé bracelet may contain over two hundred individually set diamonds.

Engraving

All surface engraving at ReAurra is performed by hand using traditional scorper tools. Machine engraving produces uniform, lifeless lines; our hand engraving has variation, personality, and depth that improves with age.

Polishing & Finishing

The final polish is the last thing a client's eye sees and the first thing a stranger notices. We use a combination of spinning buffs, hand-held polishing sticks, and ultrasonic cleaning to achieve a mirror finish on every raised surface and a contrasting brushed texture in recessed areas.

Quality Control

Every ReAurra piece passes through a four-stage quality control inspection before leaving the atelier. The Creative Director reviews every High Jewellery piece personally. Anything that does not meet the standard is returned to the bench — there are no exceptions.
