Aftercare

Care & Repair

A piece made to last a lifetime deserves to be treated like one.

01

Daily Wear

Remove your jewellery before swimming, exercising, or applying perfume, cosmetics, or sunscreen. Chemical exposure — including chlorine and salt water — can damage both metal and stone over time. Put your jewellery on last when dressing and take it off first when undressing.

02

Storage

Store each piece in its individual ReAurra pouch or compartment. Diamond can scratch other stones and even other diamonds. Gold can be scratched by platinum. Keeping pieces separate prevents surface damage that accumulates invisibly over months.

03

Cleaning at Home

For most pieces, a soft, damp cloth is all that is needed. For diamond jewellery, a brief soak in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, followed by gentle brushing with a soft toothbrush and rinsing under clean water, will restore brilliance. Do not use this method on emeralds, pearls, or treated stones.

04

Professional Servicing

We recommend an annual professional inspection and clean at any ReAurra boutique. This is complimentary for life on all ReAurra pieces. Our technicians check every prong, pavé bead, and clasp for wear — and can identify a loose stone before it becomes a lost stone.

05

Coloured Stones

Emeralds are typically oil-treated and should not be subjected to ultrasonic cleaning or prolonged exposure to chemicals. Pearls should never be submerged. Tanzanite is relatively soft and should not be worn during physical activity. Our advisors will give stone-specific guidance for every piece.

06

Watches

Have your ReAurra timepiece serviced by our authorised watchmakers every four to six years, or sooner if the power reserve or timing seems irregular. Keep the crown pushed in and the case back secure when near water. Avoid exposing the movement to strong magnetic fields.

Repair & Restoration

We Restore, We Don’t Replace

Whether a prong needs retipping, a clasp has worn, or a stone requires replacement — our atelier handles every repair to the original specification. Older pieces, including those from other makers, are assessed for restoration on a case-by-case basis.
